It's hard to get up in the morning and be mega productive every day.  Some days my to-do list is so long I feel like I've failed before I've even started. 

Given I'm a speaker who motivates people I've had to learn how to motivate myself.  It's harder than you think!

Today I've had to write a speaking proposal - done

Have a meeting in town (easy peasy, that was face to face , I had no choice) - done

Send a webinar invitation  - oops to do 

10 more things on that list! (at least)

This Tedtalk by Tim Urban is hilarious. It describes how we procrastinate as a matter course particularly if there are no deadlines.

I've learnt to have daily habits that STOP me from letting things slip.  My business coach, Kim Duke gave me this excellent piece of advice that's really helped me and could help you too.

Little steps!  

Do one small thing each day that will move your business forward.  One email,  a proposal, a newsletter, an introduction , a conversation.  One thing.    Some days you might find you do 10 things, but at least if you complete ONE THING you're always moving forward.
